I think of composition as an exceptional encounter of elements, people, environments, objects.. It is always a privilege to shape a bit such encounters, even though I do not identify as a “composer.”
My work often begins with the place, its acoustics, essence, and the specific qualities of the people or materials involved in composition. A central thread throughout my practice is an interest in the particular listening experience.
